We often, but not always, encourage using Flash for enhancing the visual presentation of a website. This depends on your business needs.
Full Flash website versus Flash as Visual Highlights
In the examples on the right, we have two different ways of using Flash animations.
The first example shows a full Flash powered website.The advantage is the wide flexibility in look and feel. The disadvantage is the poor search engine ranking. In this case, other means of helping a website rank well on search engines will need to be implemented.
As for the second example, the animation is only used as a visual highlight. Because the website includes a lot of html text, its search engine ranking is excellent.
Flash is also an excellent tool to add interactivity to a website.
